Civil engineering water services

Waterscan offer a nationwide civil engineering service that includes:

Water leak detection

We pinpoint water leaks; allowing leak repairs to be carried out in the shortest time possible, reducing the cost of the repair and minimising disruption to the site.

Water leak repair and repairing water main leaks

Having identified the leak our civil engineering crews carry out the necessary repair. This work could include:

  • Repair/replacement of external water supplies
  • Mapping including CCTV surveys and dye testing of underground water supplies
  • Reinstatement of all surface types

Water Meter and logger installations

Experienced engineers deploy meters and loggers for both single sites & large scale multi site projects to allow clients to monitor their water usage and provide early warning of problems arising.

Rainwater & Greywater system installation

These systems are a very good investment but the savings are easily undone by poor installation. Our engineers are experts in putting these systems in correctly and making sure you have trouble free operation.

New water systems & water mains laying

Waterscan design and install new mains and services. Replacement of old pipe work is essential to maintain a good supply of water and to reduce the possibility of damage and costly leaks. Before the main is commissioned a pressure test, chlorination test and certification can be supplied. The following techniques can be employed to minimise client disruption and commercial down time:

  • Slip lining/insertion
  • Open cut
  • Moling
  • Pipe bursting
  • Directional drilling
  • Point of entry drilling
  • Internal connections

All the techniques and fittings used are to water regulations 1999.

Qualified staff

All of our civil engineering employees have worked or contracted to a vast majority of the country’s water authorities. The civil engineering crews all have excellent qualifications that include:

  • NRSWA supervisor and operatives levels
