Water bill validation centre

As part of the commercial water audit service, Waterscan have a team of expert analysts and validators, based at our Head Office in Chichester, who are responsible for the validation of water invoices and management of our clients accounts.

Upon receipt of invoices, either paper or electronically (EDI) Waterscan investigates all Water Company charges to ensure they match the requirements of each site. Correct invoices are immediately passed for payment; where charges are found to be excessive or incorrect we investigate and negotiate directly with the relevant Water Company for the recovery of these charges. All anomalies and/or opportunities are reported directly to you, logged on Waterline and the appropriate action taken until the query is resolved.

Utilised in line with our historical audit comprehensive analysis is undertaken to ensure that all data is validated and that charges levied are appropriate for the supply, on the ground, at the premises. Otherwise the invoice validation data may be incorrect, rendering the validation a mere mathematical calculating tool, which controls administrative errors.

The invoice validation service encompasses:

  • Verification of base data i.e. account reference & meter serial number Verification of billing in line with your property list
  • Elimination of estimated readings
  • Assessment of missing invoices and strategy to capture those
  • Identification of duplication/overcharging of invoices

All administrative issues are dealt with immediately and rectified, any further works arising from the validation process are logged on Waterline and the relevant personnel tasked to complete the works.

Our comprehensive validation service will save a minimum of 20% of annual water costs and enables efficient monitoring and management of your portfolio. The additional benefit in utilising the Waterscan service is that all queries raised through validation are immediately assigned to the relevant personnel to resolve and can be tracked by you through your log-in portal.
